How Meditation help to Reduce Stress?

Meditation is a process of emptying out accumulated clutter of the mind by quieting and stilling the flow of thought. The Hindu yogis of India developed it more than two thousand years ago. They succeeded in mapping the auric or subtle body, and divided it into seven centers known as the chakras. The auric body is the energy field associated with the physical body that is not ordinarily visible and the energy itself is known as the "aura." There are various meditations designed to make meditators aware of their auric body to cleanse it of all negativity and enable complete well-being.

Healthy mind lives in a healthy body, it is perfectly truth because your happiness depends on your mind and it depends on your body. Without physical health you can't be completely happy, and without mental happiness you can't be completely healthy. So you need both of them, how to improve mental and physical health? Only solution is meditation.

Life is full of chaos and hassle. In this, people have little time pay attention on themselves and consequently fall prey to many health problems. Meditation assists you in facing all problems easily. Benefits of meditation are countless. In fact meditation is a part of yoga. Meditation Exercises

Meditation is an exercise and practise where we seek to discover our own inner Source. Through meditation we can learn to identify with a vast, infinite consciousness that embodies peace, light and abiding satisfaction. Everybody has these divine qualities of inner peace and joy, it is just that at the moment we are not aware of them. Meditation is our conscious effort to experience these qualities and make them part of our nature.

One of the most popular meditation exercises is the breathing exercise where the meditators have to focus on inhalation and exhalation. The idea here is to become aware of the gap between inhalation and exhalation that is present for a fraction of second. Breathing meditation is popular as it is easy to understand and practice. The benefits of this exercise are also visible after a relatively shorter span of time when compared with other meditation exercises.

A common misconception regarding Buddhist meditation is that it is the same as practicing Buddhism, probably because of the nature of the practice and its origins. However Buddhist meditation is based on the doctrines of the religion Buddhism and revolves around mind control and concentration.

Relaxation exercises drain tension and stress from the body. It involves the sequential "cleansing" of your body from head to feet, with the dirty energies being drained through the feet into the floor. After ridding the body of negative elements, you can imagine a vast sea of peace in the center of your chest bringing a wave of tranquility.

Binaural beats meditation is an innovative type of meditation that is based on music or on sounds that stimulate the mind and the spirit at the same time, thus providing a relaxing mood and releasing the accumulated tension. These types of meditation exercises are perfect for those who find it hard to relax on their own or for the ones who have troubles concentrating.

The emotional benefits of yoga are just as important as the physical benefits. In fact, the emotional and mental benefits of the body toning exercises are the reason many begin practicing yoga in the first place. In the body toning exercises of yoga breathing and meditation are important, which have a calming effect on the mind, bringing a sense of mental and emotional balance. The meditation allows you to mentally work through sources of stress to be able to overcome the feeling, or to put it out of your mind during the exercises to feel relief during the yoga.

The most interesting fact is this process of reaching within starts with a meditation technique and then culminates with no meditation technique. Even walking meditation which in the beginning is a meditation technique becomes natural. You are walking and with the quality of your high awareness it becomes walking meditation.

The benefits of deep breathing exercises and meditation also extends to those who pursue competitive sports. Some focused meditation and visualisation can lead to improved performance. Many top competitors now view visualisation as an indispensable tool in their quest for victory.

Arthritis – Symptoms and Treatment

Arthritis is a disease that is characterized by inflammation of the joints. It is the most common disease in the United States and is classified as a rheumatic disease. This condition means that different individual illnesses with differing factors, treatments, complications and prognosis occurs. They are similar in that they have a tendency to affect the joints, muscles, ligaments, cartilage and may affect internal body areas.

Arthritis affects women more than men and there, with millions of sufferers in America alone. Women need to start looking after their joints from an early age by making sure they have enough of calcium in their diet.

Physical therapists trained in a variety of exercises and treatment options offer physical therapy treatment to help individuals manage the symptoms of arthritis. In addition to therapeutic exercises such as range-of-motion and strengthening exercise, therapists use a variety of physical therapy modalities such as electrotherapy, ultrasound, heat and ice to lessen stress and the severity of pain you feel.

Holistic medicine employs a battery of diagnostic tools such as physical examination, dietary assessment, emotional evaluation, and test for immune/digestive function to help build an individual picture of the patient's condition. Holistic medicine physicians take the time to find the root cause of arthritis and the patient is actively involved with their treatment.

Arthritis pain is caused by several factors, such as :inflammation, the process that causes the redness and swelling in your joints; damage to joint tissues, which results from the disease process or from stress, injury or pressure on the joints; fatigue that results from the disease process, which can make your pain seem worse and harder to handle; depression or stress, which results from limited movement or no longer doing activities you enjoy.

The most common symptoms of hand arthritis are pain, swelling and reduced movement resulting in diminished grip and pinch strength. The doctor or physician will also examine all other joints to help aid the diagnosis of hand arthritis. The doctor can also determine the severity of the hand arthritis by observing the clinical appearance of the hand. Further to this X-rays will be utilized to further identify the severity of hand arthritis by seeking potential bony outgrowths.

An Arthritis Treatment using Massage

There are many different ways to get an arthritis treatment. Massage therapy is one of the best ways to ease the pain of arthritis. This type of arthritis treatment deals with the stiffness that is associated with arthritis. Almost all doctors will recommend regular massage therapy to their patients. Research shows that this type of arthritis treatment will decrease most of the stress hormones and will help with depression.

The treatment of arthritis must start by following a good diet that helps keep the joints well lubricated. This can be done by taking enough calcium, vitamin D, and vitamin C. Iron is also very important in the treatment of arthritis as it helps keep the bone marrow healthy. Avoiding coffee, tea and alcohol also help as these drinks can aggravate any inflammation. Omega 3 is good for the treatment of arthritis, and foods rich in omega 3 like fish are particularly good as they help oil the joints, thereby reducing the pain.
